Imported wine, January-Ice wine import data released, wine down slightly

Recently, the China Import and Export Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Food, Animals, and Animals and Livestock released the statistical analysis of alcohol imports in January and February 2017. Data show that in January-February 2017, the imported wine market continued to decline overall. Among them, the wines went down slightly, the beer warmed up, and the spirits continued to rise.

According to analysis, in January-February, domestic wine imports fell overall. The amount of bottled wine dropped slightly, the amount of bulk wine increased significantly, and the amount of sparkling wine went up and down. The import value of bottled wine was 350 million US dollars, accounting for nearly 93% of total wine imports, down 7.8% year-on-year. Beer imports showed a growth trend, with imports of 63.31 million liters, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%, and imports of 70.81 million US dollars, an increase of 17.2%.

In addition, from the perspective of imported origin, in terms of imported wine, France, Australia and Chile accounted for nearly 78% of the imported bottled wine market in January-February, with France and Australia running weakly and Chile rising against the trend. In terms of imported beer, Germany is firmly on the top, and Mexico remains strong and continues to push the Netherlands. Portugal and the United Kingdom, which have been moving at a high speed before, have not lost their momentum and deserve to continue to pay attention.
